The Duct Detector Housing provides early detection of smoke in the air moving through heating and ventilation (HVAC) ducts in commercial and industrial premises. Its purpose is to prevent the re-circulation of smoke from an area on fire to areas unaffected by the fire when used with a XP95 or Discovery detector.

The Esprit 1-4 loop analogue addressable control panels have been developed to provide a simple to use and cost effective, robust solution for the intelligent fire systems market. Extendable up to four loop circuits, and with up to 240 devices per loop, the control panels’ compact styling and programming power makes it ideal for all small and medium site requirements. The large graphical display with easy to navigate menus provide fast and simple setup and maintenance. Esprit-A panels support the range of Apollo protocol devices including their range of wireless accessories and soteria devices. The panels are supplied with a 3.4Amp internal switch mode power supply module. Esprit-A panels are approved to European standards; EN54-2 & EN54-4.

The Discovery Heat Detector uses a single thermistor to sense the air temperature at the detector position. The thermistor is connected in a resistor network, which produces a voltage output dependent on temperature. The design of the resistor network, together with the processing algorithm in the microcontroller, gives an approximately linear characteristic from10ºC to 80ºC. This linearised signal is further processed, depending upon the response mode selected, and converted to an analogue output.
